Licensing and Regulated Market Entry
Regulated online gambling markets are part of our legacy and a significant part of our future. With over 40 online licensed territories available for us to enter, our pipeline for new market growth will never be empty. However, each new market entry represents a complex project in itself, requiring the sharpest minds and smartest communicators.
Profiling customer behaviour is a necessity in the regulated sector. Whether this is for identifying problem gambling or supporting our anti-money laundering and fraud policies, we need to build large, complex data schemas. The result is that our Data Protection team has a challenging task to discharge our data privacy obligations, while meeting customer expectations surrounding the protection of their data.
Our Player Protection team contains data scientists and empathetic customer services agents with a ‘customer first’ mindset, working together to keep our players safe. We develop proprietary machine learning algorithms to build advanced behaviour profiling systems to identify high-risk play. We couple this with a dedicated human interaction team that is trained specifically to focus on problem gambling issues and to support our customers and staff.
Risk and Internal Audit
This team monitors and mitigates operational and strategic risks to the business and continually audits our performance against our policies. In general, the role of an auditor has become a reasonably homogenised role, but at BVGroup we ensure our audit and risk teams are fully engaged in all parts of the business, from creation of new products and entry into new territories, right through to ensuring the operational teams are adhering to the established policies and processes.
