Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) refers to the three main factors that affect the sustainability and ethical impact of a company.
ESG is integrated into the company’s values. As such, our ESG Committee has created an internal programme based around three strategic pillars: Safer Gambling, Environment & Sustainability and Charity & Wellness.
Our integrated approach to ESG means that this programme is not delivered by one team alone, but by different teams and individuals across the organisation.
We have several different ESG initiatives that run each year. All employees can take a paid volunteer day to volunteer for a charity of their choice. Our staff have used their volunteer days to support the Red Cross, Ocean Cleanup, Cancer Relief, Gibraltar University and GamCare, among other worthy causes. Throughout the year, the ESG Committee also runs regular fundraising events, including our ever-popular 5-a-side football tournaments.
BVGroup partners with Gibraltar University to offer skills training to students. We have also offered work placements, some of which have turned into full-time positions.
We are passionate about giving something back to the community by supporting both local and international charities. To this end, we nominate one local and one international charity to support each year, so that our efforts can deliver maximum impact. Our charities this year are the Ukrainian Red Cross, Clubhouse; Gibraltar, ALS Malta and The Clean Air Action Group in Hungary.
